I want to say it was early October 1975 and I was in the 5th grade. Yes, 10 years old- do all you sports genius do you remember who was in the World Series? It was The Boston Red Sox vs. Cincinnati Reds… The Big Red Machine vs. the locals. Yaz, Louis Tiant, Fisk, Carbo vs. Johnny Bench, George Foster, Pete Rose and company. It was my first 0.50c bet with a classmate. I had the Red Sox of course, he took the Reds. The Red Sox lost in seven games. It was off to the races from there.

Let’s speed up the story: January 1, 2015, ECSI. I have been perfecting my craft, with Vegas connections, internet, websites, spread sheets, systems decides to go public on Social Media, with the vision sports wagering would become legal in the United States sooner than later.

Originally from Queens in the Big Apple, Jeffrey now resides in the University Heights Section of Newark, a stones throw from the Prudential Center. ​
Jeffrey first appeared on the scene as a public handicapper in 1996. He advertised his horse racing selections in the Daily Racing Form. A couple of his notable moments were when he sold his selections for the 1996 Kentucky Derby with the sales approach of “Dosage Rules The Derby”. He also correctly advertised in the Racing Form that Cigar’s 16 race winning streak would come to an end in the Pacific Classic at Del Mar.
Once the internet began to get underway, Jeffrey wrote a column for Rolling Good Times Online on a daily basis. He also wrote articles for other websites as a guest from time to time.
Later that year he was approached by a popular internet horse racing site. He was an original handicapper with them covering the New York and Kentucky circuits. In addition to horse racing, he also worked for that same company handicapping the NBA, NCAA, CFB and NFL.
Jeffrey has handicapped for several websites and has a successful track record with them all. Jeffrey now handicaps THE HORSES, CBB, NBA, CFB, NFL and MLB. Jeffrey believes that no one bet is better than any other and is a strong proponent of proper money management. My name is BJ VanderWoude, and I am humbled to be joining the All-Star team at East Coast Sports Investors. For as long as I can remember, sports have not just played a big part in my life, they have been my life. First as an athlete/coach, and then moving on to fantasy sports and sports wagering, as well as working in the sports-tech startup industry. Every athlete comes to the end of their career at some point, but the passion to compete and devotion to winning never leave. I am a competitor first and foremost, and that competitive drive is what led me to skill-based gaming.
Prior to getting into the sports-tech industry, I was a successful (profitable) online poker professional. The core principles that I used to succeed in the poker world are the same ones I depend on today to succeed in DFS, fantasy sports and sports betting. I practice strict bankroll management and game selection, and I never stop looking for an edge or ways to improve. In this business, I believe if you aren’t getting better, you are getting worse. I am a student of game theory and analytics and believe leveraging technology is essential to succeeding in today’s digital sports world. I’ve built historical databases and statistical models to identify patterns and trends to exploit small edges and inconsistencies in odds making. There is no shortage of statistics on the internet today, but what makes me unique is that I understand how to weigh each data point and how they contribute to predicting future success. As the saying goes, “Statistics are like Bikini’s, they show you a lot, but not everything”. With this in mind, my deep seated passion for the game of golf allows me to bring a “Players” point of view to my research and advice. There is no data point too small or insignificant, whether it is equipment brands, caddies, grass type or weather. ​

My name is Scott Webb and I am excited to be a part of the East Coast Sports Investors. I feel like the spot light is on and couldn’t be brighter. Ready for the “show”. As the legislation has changed and now favors sports gambling, East Coast Sports Investors is ready to meet the need and I am ready with a “Whatever it takes” positive attitude to contribute. ​
I am a former semi-pro athlete (Baseball) with a claim to fame of throwing Ken Griffey Jr. out stealing second base. After surgery on the throwing shoulder that career ended. I have combined that competitive will to win with a love of sports into a career handicapping games. I have been doing this for 26 years now. ​
Using adapted formulas and data from Joe Peta’s book Trading Bases, I create my own lines based on Saber-metric data. My line is comprised of WAR ratings from each active player in the game! WAR is relevant data measuring how much contribution to a win a player produces. My line is state of the art and fresh perspective that will provide line value to the Vegas line! I can tell you what the mathematical line is and how far Vegas is off to an exact percentage.
The trick is to merge this valuable information with the “art” of gambling. I use my experience and new age database to further exploit those edges to find the best investment opportunities possible.
